TAELOR SOLAR PROJECT

INVESTMENT AND SOLAR ENERGY IN WELD AND MORGAN COUNTIES

As part of the all-of-the-above, local energy economy, Taelor Solar is an up to approximately 900-megawatt (MW) facility with a 1,150 MWh (megawatt-hour) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) proposed for Colorado’s southeastern Weld and southwestern Morgan Counties. The project will generate local and state revenues for decades to come.

Local economic benefits

When fully built out, the Taelor Solar Project will represent an over $192M investment in the local communities over 30 years.

During the construction phase, the project will create about 400 jobs and approximately 10 highly skilled, long-term jobs for project operations.

Taelor Solar will also help local landowners diversify their income through solar lease payments that can be reinvested in their farms and communities.

Battery storage systems

The proposed battery storage system uses the same technology readily found in the smartphone in many people’s pocket, and has been deployed elsewhere around Colorado.

In Weld County

The power can be used in nearby communities throughout the region, which are likely to include Greeley, Keenesburg and Hudson.

In Morgan County

The power can be used in nearby communities throughout the region, which could include Greeley, Weldona, Brush, Hillrose, Merino, Atwood, Brush and Sterling.
